Laura Hense

My name is Laura, and I have been living with Alopecia Universalis for nearly four years. I discovered Perfectly You through another well-known social influencer and fellow alopecian, Christie Valdiserri, who made her big debut stripping off her wig in a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway show. I felt a close affinity to Christie, as we are the same age and started our alopecia journeys around a similar time. As I followed along Christie’s hair loss platform, I became obsessed with this one long, blonde, wavy-haired wig of hers. I remember Christie’s caption to a tee – “My girl @hairadditionshannah making my wig dreams come true.” It was at that moment that I knew I needed one of Hannah’s too. I messaged Hannah on Instagram, who replied suggesting that we do a FaceTime consultation. That is probably why I enjoyed working with Hannah the most – She gave me the time of day to not only describe my idea of a dream wig, but to get to know me and my hair loss experience. She made me feel included in the process. So much so that I flew from Kansas City, Missouri to Sarasota to finalize any desired customizations in person with Hannah. What I thought would be an hour appointment turned into four hours of easy conversation, laughs, all around emotions for my new hair piece. Hannah made my vision come to life: a wig that I could wear down or up in a pony without the fear of it falling off and without the need for tape, adhesive, or clips. With that said, I couldn’t leave the salon without doing the famous Hannah hair flip test.

Here I am two years later still rocking my hair and feeling perfectly me :)
